Pamukkale was created by the hot lime rich water which flows down the mountain into various pools. Lime in the water sticks to the mountain, creating limestone cliffs that gives Pamukkale it unique appearance with its white cliffs and natural pools.
Already 2000 years ago Pamukkale was used as a SPA center and for healing cramps, and you also have the opportunity to swim in Queen Cleopatra’s pool. (this is not included in the price of the tour).
Since 1983 Pamukkale has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of Turkey’s most popular tourist destinations.
